Colchester Bazaar Time!

I’m taking a quick break from crochet to spread the word about the bazaar happening on Saturday in Colchester, Essex.

Find the event details on facebook  here

Vegan Ahead will be there selling hats, scarves, cowls and other trinkets – all made from cruelty-free materials of course!

I’m hoping to do some Christmas shopping too, as I think there will be some beautiful stalls there if the last made in colchester craft fair I went to is anything to go by.

It’s the first fair I’ve done in years so I’m a little nervous, will be back soon to tell you how it went!

Colchester Bazaar Time!

Colchester town gets a vegan cafe

Moving home has kept me busy this last few weeks and we are still decorating and unpacking. I’m still trying to figure out how anyone gets anything done after having children.. I did find time to visit Colchester’s first vegan cafe (woohoo!) a couple of times.  I had high expectations that were more than met and would recommend anyone visits, vegan or not, The Den at 23. image image I’ll admit I was a little excited not to have to remember to request soya milk, and to have the choice of anything on the menu. And guess what? The food was awesome! image A tofu omelette is something I’ve been too lazy to make myself – it was delicious in a sausage bagel. And today I had what I’ve been dreaming about, a freshly made waffle with maple syrup. Lyra recommends the toast. She’s not the most adventurous toddler but the lovely soft bread kept her happy, as did the interesting surroundings, the decor is great. image I wish Jen and Rob of The Den at 23 all the success in the world in their vegan venture.
